    Distribution of Aids & Appilances

    The ADIP Scheme, or Scheme of Assistance to Disabled Persons for Purchase/Fitting of Aids/Appliances, is a government initiative that aims to assist persons with disabilities in acquiring durable and modern assistive devices. The scheme, launched in 1981, is managed by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD). Its primary goal is to promote physical, social, and psychological rehabilitation by reducing the impact of disabilities and improving the economic potential of individuals with disabilities.

    The Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana (RVY) is a Central Government scheme that provides physical aids and assisted-living devices to senior citizens belonging to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category, specifically those with age-related disabilities. This scheme aims to improve the quality of life for elderly individuals by helping them overcome age-related infirmities and restore near normalcy in their bodily functions. 

    The scheme aims to improve the independent functioning of individuals with disabilities & Senior Citizen, prevent or reduce the extent of disability, and prevent secondary disabilities.
